This challenge was easy. All I asked was that each entrant submit their most favorite erotic piece from their portfolios. There were alot of submissions…80 to be exact. The challenge for me was to pick my favorite 20 out of that 80…to be finalists. Not an easy task and what I chose may not have been what the guy next door would have chosen…but then again, the guy next door is probably a frack who doesn’t host this group.  So 20 gorgeous pieces of eye candy (and awesome work from all of you) ended up on the voting page for the ‘Orgy Challenge’ and you little voyeurs voted in the eventual winner. 

tlimages has been a member of the Blue Room for quite sometime now and I remember moderating his work (in particular the series “Lovers 9″ is part of) and thinking ‘oh man..this is still cinematography at its erotic best’. I was completely besotted by the couple he had used in his work. How so totally natural both of them were in body and soul and their obvious passion and commitment to each other and to the photographer. When you browse the rest of his works you have to applaud him for the confidence and bravery he shows in his craft and the obvious confidence his models have in him.

Can you explain to the rest of the group how and why you decided to photograph and put together the series “Lovers”?

 This “Lovers” series actually began with a suggestion from my favourite model and muse. I had photographed her on 6 previous assignments and she thought that it would be a lovely idea to capture her making love with her boyfriend – the real thing, no acting or posing. We agreed that the objective was not to produce porn images, but to capture the passion and intimacy of two lovers uniting their bodies and pleasuring each other. I felt rather honoured to be invited into their intimate space, and I do hope that I achieved our objective.

How have art sites such as redbubble treated you and your work? Are the rules and regulations they impose on nudity and erotica fair do you think?

Although I have not displayed these images elsewhere, I must say that I found RB to be quite open and liberal in their views of nudity, particularly the display of female genitalia – even though I disagree with their censorship of some of my images that captured the lovers performing cunnilingus. In my humble opinion, those censored images (and others that I did not bother to upload) were very tastefully and artistically rendered and were therefore art in the truest sense of the word. So, no, I don’t think that the RB rules are fair.

Which other areas of photography or art do you like to dabble in?

Other areas that I dabble in? I love landscapes, and have also done some funky stuff with lensbaby and pin-hole photography.

Have you ever exhibited your work?

I’ve actually sold some of my landscapes at several artshows. Unfortunately, most of the images that I’ve posted in the Blue Room would not be appropriate or permitted in the artshows.

A favorite redbubble artist you’d like to share?

There are so many excellent and gifted artists in RB and it’s difficult to pick one! That said, I would venture to name Crystal French. I am quite bowled over by her courage and honesty in taking and displaying those wonderful images of her own vulva. It is very refreshing and kind of in-your-face. Bold, independent, confident!

A one on one with Jessica…

Tell us a little bit about the winning piece ‘Androgorgeus’. How difficult a shoot was it and how did you came up with the name?

The photo shoot for “Androgorgeous” wasn’t too difficult. The models did their own hair, makeup and what little wardrobe they had on. They are best friends in real life so there was some chemistry already there and they both have a lot of modeling experience. We had an idea develop as I took photos that since they looked kind of like twins it would be interesting to have them look very intimate with each other. The end result was some kind of gorgeous androgyny, which I find to be very attractive. So I developed a merging of the two words and came up with “Androgorgeous”.

For such a young women your work is quite brilliant. Where do you see your photography taking you in say…10 years time?

Thank you for the compliment! In 10 years it would be a dream come true if I could have my photography reach far and wide through galleries, art shows, publications, etc. Ideally I would like to be making some kind of income through my work and I would like to be widely recognized for it. I think that isn’t too much to ask and is a common dream we all share as artists. Most importantly though, in 10 years I want to see to it that I continue making art and don’t stop.

You’ve been on redbubble for some time now…how does it differ from other sites such as Deviant Art?

Redbubble has been a very pleasant art experience for me. It is different from other art communities I have been on in the sense that people here seem to be generally more kind to me. Everyone has been welcoming, supportive and friendly and nobody here is overly competitive or critical. I think the people make the community and that holds very true for Redbubble. That and the art here is diverse and really fun to look at! There are some brilliant artists here!

Your favorite piece of art on redbubble?

Oh that’s really impossible to answer. I can’t pick just one, there are too many amazing artworks here. But if you really wanna know what kind of art gets me going, take a look at my favorites!

Your photographic influences?

Life experiences first and foremost always influences me. Secondly, to list some names: Floria Sigismondi, Chad Michael Ward, Visioluxus, LithiumPicnic, Kimothy, Aiko273, Harmony Nicholas, etc. And thirdly, my own crazy mind has quite an impact on the images I create.
Dreams, reality, emotions.. they all mold into one.

If you could set the next Blue Room challenge, what would it be?

That’s a tough question… hmm…. since Valentines Day is coming up, how about Passion between two people?

You, of course! It’s strange because I’m not much of a “joiner type” of person and I kinda diametrically oppose the group mentality thinggie, but I’ve come to love The Blue Room, the open-mindedness, freeness of thought that it represents here.

Two inspirations on redbubble…and why?

Anne Van Alkemade, her passion for art and culture is just the greatest thing! And I have respect for her knowledge and her wit as well as the fact that I love her writing.

The exquisite artistry and vision of the work of Paul Vanzella is mindblowing!

Two influences off redbubble…and why?

Damn, I live right in the midst of a little colony of artistic types here and there are galleries and crafts and culture within every few blocks, so my direct environment is definitely an inspiration. And booksbooksbooks, I can never have enough good books!

What is your favorite body part on the opposite sex?

Hands. Nice big, strong, workman’s hands. With nicely tapered fingers and a roughness that I can feel as they caress my smooth skin. Hands that I can feel the power in when I hold them in mine.

Really, anything by those two artists is just fucking exquisite, they are both genius in their own ways.

What attracted you to the Blue Room?…Brynn

Well, the strong pull of like-minded individuals. TO be able to submit work both written and visual and have it looked at from a completely different point of view. I am also a rather strong feminist, so to have a sexy group run totally by a strong, hot woman is a refreshing breath. Also the enchanting seductiveness of this group, the lust simply oozes from it=) And it doesnt hurt to have a scintillatingly sexy mod=P

Two inspirations on redbubble…and why?

Oh that is hard to pin down, since amidst all these wonderful photographers, I am only a model. I do draw inspiration from the emotions caught by some of the photogaphers here that work exclusively with models but its hard relate. Tony Ryan is a large inspiration of mine, and I do try to emulate his models at times. I will say for sure one image absolutely leaps out in my mind. Titled : Escalate. By Darryl A.
The picture is stunning and alive. The model has run into a PUBLIC station, ripped off her clothes, run up the escalator and sat on the stairs throwing her hair around. Such bravery! One day perhaps I will garner the courage to do that, until then though, I can only wish that was me=P

Two influences off redbubble…and why?

First and foremost I am a writer, linguist and lastly an art model. For my writing, so most authors will attest…I draw on personal, real and experienced emotions. Those flow into my writing, bringing the characters to life. My modeling is the same way. Its acting…and you have to put across to the viewer exactly what the mood is in the photo. Many a time I have been requested to give the most angry, rage-filled face I possibly can, which for me is quite simple. I look at the floor, shut my eyes and let all the rage and hatred flow into my face from wherever I draw on…and look up at the camera. In that heartbeat of the camera flash, its the most raw, powerful emotion and its very honest.
My other inspiration for life in general, not just writing and modeling…(yes you can laugh) Is Xena. I know she is a fictional character but she was a strong, independent, and powerful woman. So much horror had happened to her in her life yet she never let it get her down. Yes she was angry a lot, but as the story progressed she slowly worked out of her anger to become even more powerful. Although I am not at the fully rage-free yet, lol I am getting there! And besides….she’s smokin hot! Oh and chocolate, brandy, chocolate, violin music, chocolate…you get the picture.

What is your favorite body part on the opposite sex?

Ahaha, oh no. Well its hard to say on one person because everyone has something different that looks best on them. I think my topper is washboard abs. Close runners up: broad toned shoulders, that sexy muscle that runs across the shoulder blades, LONG HAIR!!! and I am talking tarzan long, not axl rose long. Piercing eyes, no matter what colour. Strong cheekbones, full lips, the way the back goes from smaller at the waist and swoops up into a broad spanse across the top, those little treasure trails that run down from a man’s abs to his…..well you know. The little hair trail the runs from belly button down the..okay I better stop or this might get messy!

Hahahah oh god you HAD to ask. Well in all honesty its really not that glamourous. It was behind some bushes in someones HUGE backyard during a high school graduation party. No it wasnt MY grad…I was only 16 at the time. It
was exciting in the way that there were people everywhere and we never got caught…but still very..prickly. Of course it only got more exciting from there=P

Oooh only 2? Hhmmm…okay well I will have to say for sure this one…Jan Cain  Reflections. Eyes enchant me, and the BW treatment to this picture just brings them out more. Its so ambiguous what the person is trying to portray…that it just begs you to think of an answer.
And the second, by a mile has to be this one….Photosguy Deep Thought. The deep sensuality in this picture just sends fire through me…heheh in all the good places=P Its also a mysterious photo, as he seems to just be waiting in the dark. Yum. And besides who can resist a steaming hot guy like that?!

Ha, lordy what a question! What is this the Spanish Inquisition? Am I in love…well with a person? HA never. I am too independent for that, I like having my freedom.
With my cat? Of course…HE is my man=P With my books? Yes, most definitely I could read for days on end without stopping.
